June Newsletter 2009: Summertime vibes
All of a sudden it's summer again, do you know where your tent is? Festivals, dance camps, workshops and retreats are lining up the calendar, filling every available weekend and more. And do you have your summer reading sorted out? A subscription
to Conscious Dancer will make sure the new issue is in your mailbox in time to pack. And if you are a facilitator, workshop leader, or venue owner, make sure you have plenty of copies to share with your community by listing yourself on our moving arts directory and becoming a valued member of our organic distribution network.
The workshops issue is out now, and we want to announce a few things on the horizon as we get to work on the fall health and fashion issue. First, we're going to start printing letters to the editor. So bring on all your feedback, suggestions, constructive criticism, and inspirations – we'll run the best in the space we have available. Second, we're organizing a summer salon and photo shoot, with a trunk show from local designers, interactive demos, and a super-duper raffle. Get in touch with us soon if you want to take part. And last but not least, we're all going to take The Breema Clinic
in Oakland up on their offer for $10 sessions before the offer expires on June 21, it's time for some post-deadline bodily nourishment! Thanks to all of you who make putting this together so worthwhile, and especially the advertisers, subscribers, and supporters who make this materially possible. If it takes a village to raise a child, then it must take an entire society to nurture "movement for a better world!"
